Week 22

Week: 22

P Size: About the length of a spagetti squash.

Total Weight Gain/loss: 14

Stretch Marks: One little teeny tiny one on the right breast.

Maternity Clothes?: Yes please!

Sleep: Still sleeping great.

Movement: I saw our baby move from the outside on 10/17! It was awesome! Sadly Warren had left the house and it was just baby and me. I felt soem really really strong regular kicks right out front so I pulled up my shirt and watched...a few moments later there was a rumbling on the outside of the belly! I was so excited! Now to get the baby to do that while Warren is home:) The movement is usually more internal then out front. Little P likes kicking my hips.

What I Miss: The feeling of being happily full without any heartburn. (Still...it is getting worse)

Status of the Button: Getting shallower by the week but still in. (Still)

What I'm Looking Forward to: The arrival of our first big purchase for Little P...our BOB stroller!

Best Moment this Week: Seeing Little P kicking from the outside! Love the few I could see!

Preggers Bod-New and Exciting!..maybe?: I am a cup size E...there is nothing more I can say other than I started a C!

P Milestones: Week: 21

P Size: About the length of a carrot.

Total Weight Gain/loss: 14

Stretch Marks: none

Maternity Clothes?: Yes, and it is becoming an even mix of pants and shirts. I am still stetching some of my non-maternity shirts but most have been retired until after baby.

Sleep: Still sleeping great.

Movement: Yes and it is getting stronger and stronger by the day! Warren felt the baby for the first time this week!!

What I Miss: The feeling of being happily full without any heartburn.

Status of the Button: Getting shallower by the week but still in. (Still)

What I'm Looking Forward to: We start birthing class this Friday.

Best Moment this Week: Having Monday off work. Although we spent it working on the house...it was nice to not have to go into work.

Preggers Bod-New and Exciting!..maybe?: Holy Boobies! They are getting pretty large. I also have one little tiny stretch mark on the bottom right breast:(

P Milestones: Baby's lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and baby is even developing tiny tooth buds beneath the gums. Eyes have formed, but irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside the belly, the pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

P Milestones: You may soon feel like baby is practicing martial arts as the initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to baby's activity as you get to know them better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now, and if you're having a girl, her vagina has begun to form as well.

week 20

Week: 20

P Size: About the length of a banana.

Total Weight Gain/loss: 13

Stretch Marks: none

Maternity Clothes?: Yep, still no shirts but pants are a yes!

Sleep: Only had a few nights of sleep effected because of my hip/butt pain.

Movement: Much stornger movement on the outside.

What I Miss: not feeling huge. I am loving being pregnant but it sure is different to have a belly! Plus I lose my breath very easliy.

Status of the Button: Swallow but in.

What I'm Looking Forward to: Prenatal Yoga! Sharon and I went last Sunday and we are now making it a weekly date. I loved it! Last week the instructor really focused on stretching and opening the hips. I needed that so much with the pain I have had in that area! Plus it reminded me that I need to take time for myself and the baby and make it a priority to go to Yoga and work out during the week!

Best Moment this Week: Feeling very strong kicks on the outside! On Monday (10/22) Little P was kicking or jumping off of my left hip bone and it was so strong on the outside. I think Warren could have felt it if he wasn;t still half a sleep.

Preggers Bod-New and Exciting!..maybe?: Nothing new here.

P Milestones: He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).

Food Cravings: Cheese.

I have been indulging a little to much in the sweets department which I think is showing in my weight gain. I have vowed this week to focus more on my health for the sake of Little P and myself through this amazing journey.

Warren, Grandma, Grandpa, and Ronpa worked ont he house this weekend. Ronpa took lots of junk left from great grandma and pa and also some contruction trash. Warrena dn Grandpa finished the pantry and moved the china hitch into the dining room. We are trying har dto get the upstairs done before Little P comes into the outside world.

It is now fall in Anchorage. With the wind and rain we have had many of the trees are alreayd missing most of there leaves. It is getting cold really quick and it has already snowed once which is crazy!

Total Weight Gain/loss: 13

Stretch Marks: none

Maternity Clothes?: YES! But still only pants. I am still wearing my normal shirts although some have finally been retired. Not having to wear maternity shirts yet.

Sleep: My pillow is my friend! Plus I sleep much better when Warren is home.

Movement: yes! It is very noticable on the inside and we sure have a mover and a shaker! Little P seems to like tossing and turning all the time.

What I Miss: Not being so busy at work! I have been missing work outs because I have been so consumed with work that I lose track of time:(

Status of the Button: Getting shallower by the week but still in.

What I'm Looking Forward to: Starting birthing classes and our breastfeeding class!

Best Moment this Week: Very noticable movement on the outside:)and seeing our little person on Monday!

Preggers Bod-New and Exciting!..maybe?: Not to much has changed recently. Still getting bigger in the belly and the boobs are different but nothing has changed too much in the last week.

P Milestones: Your baby's sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.

Food Cravings: Cheese

Week 18

Week: 18

P Size: About the length of a bell pepper.

Total Weight Gain/loss: +13

Stretch Marks: none

Maternity Clothes?: Yes!

Sleep: I finally ordered and recieved a pregnancy pillow. This is a true lifesaver! I have slept so well since I have started sleeping with it! Love it!

Movement: Yes! Still mainly from the inside but as it gets stronger and less fluttery I am getting exctied to start feeling it more on the outside. I have felt a couple movements from the outside this week but nothing mjor or enough for others to feel yet. Plus I can not wait until Warren can feel it! Should only be a few more weeks:)
*The night of 9/22 I felt the baby on the outside for the first time!!! so exciting*

What I Miss: Not much...I am trying to enjoy pregnancy! However, my butt/hip not hurting...I do miss be able to walk pain free.

Status of the Button: In still but getting more shallow.

What I'm Looking Forward to: Still our ultrasound next Monday!

Best Moment this Week: Being present for little Hawkins Conkling being born and feeling our Little P on the outside that night!

Preggers Bod-New and Exciting!..maybe?: My nipples are huge! Crzy huge! Warren thinks they need thier own zipcode...lol! But it is only the nipple and not the areola.

Hormone Craziness?? (I am adding this because it is necessary:)) Dreams are better but I have been a lot more sensitive lately.

P Milestones: Baby is busy flexing thier arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. Blood vessels are visible through the baby's thin skin, and the ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from the head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around the nerves, a process that will continue for a year after the baby is born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound

Food Cravings: Still cheese but I have also ben wanting bread.

What I Miss: Not having heart burn!

Status of the Button: Very In

What I'm Looking Forward to: Our next ultrasound on 9/27! and my new weekly massage's:) The theripist said it was necessary since I am so tight.

Best Moment this Week: My massage and getting told I need to now come once a week:)

Preggers Bod-New and Exciting!..maybe?: the movemnet that I can feel through out the day! Plus I think I felt a something from the outside when I couldn't sleep in Fairbanks!

Hormone Craziness?? (I am adding this because it is necessary:)) Still just the crazy vivid dreams!

P Milestones: Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.

Food Cravings: we are back to cheese
