Sleep: Still exhausted most of the day, but it has gotten a little better. Sleeping at night is very sporadic. I can't get to sleep and then wake up through out the night.
Movement: too small
What I Miss: Quality sleep at night.
Status of the Button: Very In
What I'm Looking Forward to: The week 8 appt.
Best Moment this Week: Telling the Grandparents, brothers, and Leslie and Kim!
Preggers Bod-New and Exciting!..maybe?: Boobies;) They are very full and defiantly getting slightly bigger.
P Milestones: The first heartbeats have begun! The eyes and ears begin to form as well as an opening for the mouth. Most of the organs are well under construction. Buds form on the body that will become the arms and legs. The umbilical cord develops.
Food Cravings: Steak....mmmmmm!
How's the W?: He very excited! So excited in fact that he shared the news with Ron with out me being there...shame on him;)
Sleep: Still exhausted most of the day, but it has gotten a little better. Since Warren has been home I have been sleeping longer at night! Plus I am really good at taking daily naps which has also helped.
Movement: too small
What I Miss: Little P being my little secret. While I am so excited to share with Warren. I am still little sad.
Status of the Button: Very In
What I'm Looking Forward to: Telling the Grandparents and the week 8 appt.
Best Moment this Week: Telling W and him surprising me with coming home a week early!
Preggers Bod-New and Exciting!..maybe?: Very very very sore and tender boobies!
P Milestones: The neural tube is starting to develop in the top layer called the ectoderm. The heart and circulatory system is beginning to form in the mesoderm. The heart will divide and start beating and pumping this week!!
Food Cravings: Orange Juice, not so much craving it but when I drink it it taste like liquid gold! So good!
How's the W?: He is excited to be home and I think he is getting more excited about little P. However, I think he is holding back still since it is so early.
Why am I calling our little buddle of cells Baby P? Well, both of the names we have picked out for either a boy or girl begin with "P". So instead of calling Baby P "it" or just "baby" I like that our little person already has a name...even if it is just the letter "P".
Belly close up...good luck my little butterfly at surviving the next 9 months;)
Week: 4
P Size: About 0.014 inch to 0.04 inch, or half the size of this letter (o). Crazy how small P is right now
Total Weight Gain/loss: none
Stretch Marks: none
Maternity Clothes?: nope
Sleep: Very Exhausted all day. I take a nap each day that last about 1-2 hours. W is working out of town and can not call until around 10:30 or 11 so I end up trying to stay up and then have a second wind that interferes with going to sleep. Each day since I have known I have woken up before 5:30 am, and not for any practical reason except I am starving. I eat and then can sleep for another hour or so.
Movement: too small
What I Miss: Not being tired all the time. Oh and not having to live in the bathroom...it seems I have to pee every hour!
Status of the Button: Very In
What I'm Looking Forward to: Telling W when he gets home. Oh and then finally not having to keep this secret!!
Best Moment this Week: Finding out our little P was burrowing their way into my uterus!
Preggers Bod-New and Exciting!..maybe?: nothing new, yet. Boobies are little sore in certain places but nothing too bad. Some mild stomach pains. I am not sure if it is hunger/gas/or cramping...
P Milestones: The germ layers developed this week. The ectodrem, endoderm and mesoderm are the three layers. The ectoderm will become the nervous system(including the brain), the skin and the hair. The endoderm will develop into the lining of the gastrointestinal tract, the liver, pancreas, and thyroid. From the mesoderm comes the skeleton, connective tissues, blood system, urogenital system and most of the muscles. Wow...that is pretty amazing!
Food Cravings: Orange Juice
How's the W?: In Unalakeet working. It is killing me not being able to talk about all these changes with someone. I am very excited for him to get home so I can shock him with the news! He will be so excited once the shock wears off since we have been preparing for this for awhile! I like this phrase and it is so true to our situation...
We are preparing for this incredibly happy accident. The timeline has changed, but the itinerary has not! So excited for little P!
Three. Yep! Three positive home test before it really started to sink in that there was a human growing in my belly. The one from 6/5 was negative because it was too soon...but then one with a very faint double line, and two with very clear double lines!
I am really excited now!! While it is a surprise for us I am now passed the shock and am entering into the world of I could be a mommy in about 38 weeks:)
I only say maybe because I do not want to jinx our little four weeker. So Little "P" please stick around for oh at least 35 more weeks...what do you think "P"?
